Needs interface work
The dictionary itself deserves 4.5 stars: Ultralinguas interface is not well-thought-through. How do you use a bilingual dictionary? First, you almost always use it in one direction. So making it way too easy to reverse direction by putting the toggle too near another far more frequently used button is a serious design flaw. Second: Once youve looked up a word, you dont use the interface again until you need to look up another. So it ought to require minimum effort to start a new search. With the Ultralingua interface, you first must go to the upper right corner of the display to clear the (tiny) search box by tapping the (even tinier) "x" inside, then redirect your fingers to the keyboard at the screen bottom. There really needs to be a "clear search box and start a new search" button right next to the keyboard.
On the plus side, its great to have the word-search history window--once you find out that its there.
